Account Executive at Onvia

The Opportunity:
Onvia is offering you the chance to join a world–class, consultative sales group. As an Account Executive at Onvia, your primary role is to generate revenue by selling Onvia's solutions and services within our B2G (Business to Government) exchange. You will be responsible for contacting businesses and contractors interested in working with the government to develop relationships and close sales opportunities.
Core Deliverables and Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue by contacting businesses within our B2G exchange to win business
- Ability to maintain and develop client relations through cold calling
- Ability to clearly and effectively consult clients on the government procurement process
- Proficient ability to forecast, meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales objectives
- Develop and maintain sophisticated knowledge of Onvia's products and services
- Efficiently maintain database of customer contacts, leads and follow–ups
Position Requirements:
- 2–3 years of sales experience in a professional, consultative sales environment
- Proven past ability in achieving and exceeding sales plan
- Must have the ability to make a high volume of calls per day and communicate across different industry verticals and geographic locations
- Must be familiar with the full suite of Microsoft Office products and a CRM product
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively (exempt position)
- Prior experience selling services and/or subscriptions to businesses or government suppliers highly desired
- Candidates should be self–motivated, posses an excellent work ethic, and have a commitment to sales
Education/Training/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred and/or equivalent experience in consultative sales is desired
